Why Send Handwritten Letters?

Personal connections are more important than ever in the digital age.  Yet our communication has become quick, short, and less meaningful.  Handwritten cards are timeless and create an incredible impact on the
recipient.  Handwriting is a physical imprint someone makes, and holding a letter is like being able to touch someone from the past.  Letters are kept for lifetimes, passed down generations, and are one of the greatest gifts you can give. 

But planning ahead with enough time to shop for a card, buy postage, and get a letter in the mail before an important date is difficult.  That’s where we come in.  We have created a tool where you can set up event reminders and we will email you with enough time to purchase a card and have it mailed to you, with forwarding addressing and postage, so you can add your handwritten message.  Then just pop it back in the mail and done.  Or, select a printed message and we will mail the card with your message printed inside directly to your recipient.

Ordering & Scheduling Questions
  • How far in advance do I need to order?

In order for your card to arrive on time to the final recipient we suggest picking a card and initiating the printing and shipping process at least 3 weeks (21 days in advance) to account for non-postage days, holidays, inclement weather and general shipping and processing times.  If you schedule an event date in advance we will reach out to you 30 days before the event date for you to pick a card with regular follow up emails until the event date.

  • What is the latest I can place an order and still have it arrive on time?

The latest date you can place an order and have it arrive on time depends on the type of service, direct to recipient or handwritten, and the final destination.  We advise placing all orders at least 21 days in advance for the highest likelihood it will arrive on time.

  • Can I schedule cards months or a year in advance?

Yes!  Cards can be scheduled at any date in advance and set up for annual recurring reminders. 

  • Can I edit or cancel an order after I place it? If so, until when?

Once an order is placed the card is sent to the printer and plans are put in place for shipping.  Therefore all orders are final once completed and paid.

  • Do you send reminders before the card ships?

We send multiple reminders to pick a card before a scheduled event date. 
However, once an order is made the card will be shipped automatically with no further reminders.

  • Can I set up recurring cards (birthdays, anniversaries, holidays)?

Yes!  Once you add an event date you can select for this to be recurring or one time.  If recurring we will remind you of the date in time to pick a card annually.

  • What happens if I forget to schedule a date?

If you forget to schedule a date you can still purchase a card at any time. However, the delivery date may be after the event date if ordered outside of our recommended 21 day lead time.  But cards are printed and mailed multiple times per week so it may still arrive on time depending on when you complete the order.
How does the Direct-to-Recipient option work?

What is the process?

1.  You choose the card design and place an order

2.  We mail you the chosen card in a pre-addressed and stamped envelope inside another envelope.   When it arrives you simply open up the envelope and pull out the card and envelope inside.  Write your personal message.  Then seal the envelope and pop it back in the mail.

  • Why is the card sent to me first instead of the recipient?

The card is sent to you with a blank inside so you can add a handwritten message for a personal touch.

  • Will the envelope already have the recipient’s address on it? What about a stamp too?

Yes, the final envelope will be pre-addressed and stamped. 

  • Do I need to add any stamps or pay for shipping again?

No, once you place an order all you need to do it add your handwritten message when the card arrives, seal the final envelope, and pop it back in the mail.

  • Can I change the message or recipient address once I receive the card?

When the card arrives to you for a handwritten message the inside will be blank. However, the address will be pre-printed so the final address cannot be changed on the envelope provided once the order is placed.

  • How long do I have to send the card back out to make the delivery date?

We recommend you write your message and put the final card back in the mail asap to ensure it arrives promptly to the final recipient.

  • What happens if I mail it late?

If you mail the card late we are sure the recipient will still appreciate the sentiment and be impressed you took the time to hand write a letter even if it is a little late.

How does the Handwritten option work?
  • Can you mail the card directly to the recipient for me?

Yes!  If you do not want to hand write a message we will be glad to print a personal message in a font of your choice on the inside
of the card and mail it directly to the recipient. 

  • How do I write the message if it’s printed?

If you choose a printed message you
will add the text during the order process and choose the font you want us to use. 

  • Can I choose the font for a printed message so it looks handwritten or more formal?

Yes, we have many typeface and
handwriting font options for you to choose during the order process.

  • Will the message be visible through the envelope?

No. Our envelopes are opaque and your message will remain personal and confidential
throughout the printing and mailing process.
